Kaspersky Embedded Systems Security for Linux

Hardware requirements

Kaspersky Embedded Systems Security has the following minimum hardware and software requirements:

  • Core 2 Duo 1.86 GHz or faster CPU
  • A swap partition of at least 1 GB for all components
  • 1 GB of RAM for 32-bit operating systems, 2 GB of RAM for 64-bit operating systems
  • 4 GB of free hard disk space for installation of the application and storage of temporary and log files

Additional disk space is required to store trace files and application memory dump files.

When scanning archives and compound objects with ScanArchived=Yes and ScanSfxArchived=Yes (by default, these are set to Yes for scan tasks and No for File Threat Protection), File Threat Protection and scan tasks require additional disk space depending on the type and unpacked size of such objects.

We recommend making sure there is enough free space in the /tmp directory for scanning archives and compound objects. You can also limit the size (in the archived state) of archives that can be scanned by specifying the SizeLimit setting for each task.

  • When using the graphical interface, the monitor must be capable of displaying windows 1000 pixels wide and 600 pixels tall (if screen scaling is applied, these dimensions are also scaled).
