Main application window

Open the main application window

If the vault is locked, in the main application window you can:

• Unlock the vault.
• Create a new vault, if you have forgotten your main password.
• Open Kaspersky Password Manager help.
• View information about Kaspersky Password Manager.
• Go to websites where you can download Kaspersky Password Manager for other devices.
• Go to your online vault.

If the vault is unlocked, in the main application window you can:

• Add an entry.
• Customize entry view.
• Manage your favorite entries.
• Use Authenticator.
• Open Password Generator to generate passwords.
• Change your main password.
• Search the vault for data.
• Go to websites and sign in automatically.
• Check how secure your passwords are.
• Search your computer for sensitive documents.
• View the status of data synchronization.
• Import and export data.
• View and change Kaspersky Password Manager settings.

Application icon

The application icon (a key with a green lock - for an unlocked vault and a key with a red lock - for a locked vault) appears in the taskbar notification area after Kaspersky Password Manager is installed.

The application icon has a shortcut menu. The shortcut menu of the application icon provides quick access to the main functions of the application.

If the vault is unlocked, you can use the shortcut menu of the Kaspersky Password Manager icon to:

• Lock the vault.
• Open the main application window.
• Go to websites where you can download Kaspersky Password Manager for other devices.
• Open the application settings window.
• Open Kaspersky Password Manager help.
• View information about Kaspersky Password Manager.
• Quit Kaspersky Password Manager.

If the vault is locked, you can use the shortcut menu of the Kaspersky Password Manager icon to:

• Unlock the vault.
• Go to websites where you can download Kaspersky Password Manager for other devices.
• Open Kaspersky Password Manager help.
• View information about Kaspersky Password Manager.
• Quit Kaspersky Password Manager.

Kaspersky Password Manager extension

The Kaspersky Password Manager allows you to install extensions for your browsers in order to automatize online forms completing. If the Kaspersky Password Manager extension is installed, the key icon is displayed in the browser toolbar. Kaspersky Password Manager detects online forms on the websites and displays the key icon next to fields where the extension can perform actions.

Full extension features list

If you install Kaspersky Password Manager extension, it saves information when you fills out online forms, and during your next visit, fills them out automatically. You can enable autosave and autofill for passwords, addresses or bank cards. Clicking the application icon icon opens the extension menu.

From the extension menu you can:

• Search the vault for data.
• Edit bank cards and addresses by opening the entry in the application window.
• Go to websites added to Favorites.
• Open entries added to Favorites.
• View recently visited websites and recently used web accounts.
• View accounts to sign in to websites.
• View bank cards and addresses.
• Open Password Generator.
• Open the main application window.
• Block or unblock access to your data.
• Send feedback to Kaspersky.

Limitation of extension functionality

For Microsoft Edge browser, you can install Kaspersky Password Manager extension without desktop application. Installation for other browsers is not supported.

If you install Kaspersky Password Manager extension for Microsoft Edge but do not install the application on your computer, the extension functionality is limited. For example, you can use only password generator but you can't autosave and autofill your passwords until you install Kaspersky Password Manager application.
