Data provision under the End User License Agreement

View the Conditions regarding Data Processing in the End User License Agreement

  1. In the main application window, click Application menu and select About.
  2. In the window that opens, click the End User License Agreement link.

    The End User License Agreement window opens.

  3. Scroll down to Section B and read Conditions regarding data processing.

Unless expressly started otherwise, the information mentioned in this section does not contain any of the user's personal data and is needed for the operation of the application.

By accepting the terms of the End User License Agreement, you agree to automatically submit the information to Kaspersky via the installed application, the rights to which belong to Kaspersky, for the purposes of improving the quality of real-time protection and generating the most suitable informational and advertising offers; improving the performance of the software and the speed of identification and elimination of errors associated with the installation, removal and updating of the software; and accounting for the number of users.

The following data is processed during installation and operation of Kaspersky Password Manager 9.0.2.XXXX(d):

Information about the user's operating system (OS): OS name, version and build number; OS update service pack, OS error code.

Information about the user's device: anonymized IP address; device hardware format (virtual machine or physical computer).

Information about the application: application ID; full version of the application (major, minor, build, patch); application status; date and time of the application database release; version of application databases, type of the installed Software; flag indicating whether the Software is connected to Web-Portal.

Information about the installation: application build ID; software localization language; previous version number; date and time of installation; ID of the Kaspersky application within which the installation of Kaspersky Password Manager was started; scenario in which the application was installed; installation type (initial installation or update); whether the installation was manually interrupted; scenario in which user completed the First Run Wizard of the application; signs of initiation of product installation for mobile devices; fact of notification display concerning possible product installation for mobile devices; status of browser extension installation.

Information about user agreements: name and version of agreements; acceptance status of agreements (accepted or declined).

Information about the update: version of the Updater component; number of times the Update component has crashed; update task type ID; number of times the update task ended unsuccessfully; update result ID.

My Kaspersky account connection status (connected or not).

Information about the license: license status; license type; source from which the license was purchased; subscription type; switching to extended version status; number of switches to the extended version; number of returns to the free version.

KSN configuration update information: current configuration identifier; configuration update status (successful/unsuccessful); update error code.

Information about two-step verification: code from SMS; "I'm not a robot" picture ID; "I'm not a robot" picture type; characters entered from "I'm not a robot" picture; authorization context and session ID.

Information about the vault: vault availability; errors that occurred during local vault unlocking; event of autofilling of a vault entry; errors that occurred during cloud storage unlocking; number of entries of each type protected by the application; version of the vault encryption algorithm.

Information about sync: last sync status; date and time of the last sync.

Information about the user's browsers: browsers in which Kaspersky Password Manager extension was installed; name of the default browser on the computer; versions of using browsers.

Information about data transfer: planned data transfer frequency (daily, weekly or monthly); application status at the time of planned data transfer (running or not running); date and time of planned data transfer; date and time of previously planned data transfer; date and time of the last data transfer performed.

Information send with feedback: name of the domain the application is running in; domains of URLs entered in the address bar by the user; comment in the user's feedback; issue type; rating (positive or negative).

Information about user's interaction with the application: identifiers of opened windows, tabs, application balloons; identifiers of activated program controls; time of the event shown to the user (UTC standard time).

Information about the web service request: web address being processed; http request method; response status of the Rightholder's service; total duration of request processing; DNS address of the web service being accessed; remote port and IP address of the web service being accessed; information about implementation of the web service access handler; protocol processing error type; error code; method used for authentication in the Software; protocol ID; server access duration.

Other information: service attributes of stored entries; document category; information about added PDF files; part of the SHA hash of the account passwords; anonymized online forms identified by application; type of link clicked in the application interface; list of IDs of received messages; ID of the program that provides the license; program functional mode; authentication token in the Rightholder's services; token TTL; token type; code of the error category; path to the object being processed; line number of the source file in the exception handler; text of the error message; unique request ID to the Rightholder services.

Your personal data is stored locally on your computer in the %SYSTEMDRIVE%\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\Kaspersky Lab\Kaspersky Password Manager folder under the following names:

  • storage.kvdb
  • kpm_vault.edb

  • Time taken to install the application
  • Signs of installation interrupting
  • List of IDs of received messages
  • Anonymized IP address of the user's device
  • Version of the Updater component
  • Version and name of the computer's operating system (OS)
  • Version of the operating system updates installed on the computer
  • Number of times the Update component has crashed
  • Update task type ID
  • Number of times the update task ended unsuccessfully
  • Update result ID
  • Application status
  • Name of the domain the application is running in
  • Anonymized online forms identified by application

Kaspersky protects any information thus received in accordance with law and applicable Kaspersky rules. The data is sent over a secure channel.

Compliance with European Union legislation (GDPR)

Kaspersky Password Manager complies with the terms of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in all regions where the application is distributed. When you accept the End User License Agreement and Privacy Policy, you confirm that you have reached the required age.

By making a decision about the End User License Agreement and Privacy Policy, you agree to provide Kaspersky with the following statistics about your decision:

  • Application ID
  • Application version
  • Device ID
  • Anonymized IP address
  • Application installer ID
  • Version and ID of the data processing statements
  • Your decision about data processing (accept or decline)
  • Time when you accepted or declined

    According to the terms of the GDPR you have the right to remove all your personal data from Kaspersky. When you contact Customer Service to remove personal data, you should provide your computer's unique IDs.

Provide IDs to Customer Service to remove personal data

  1. In the application icon context menu, select the About item.

    The About Kaspersky Password Manager window opens.

  2. At the center of the window, find the PC ID and Machine ID.
  3. Copy both IDs to the Clipboard.
  4. Paste the IDs into the request form and send them to Customer Service.

Data provision for marketing purposes

During installation or updating of the application, you will also be asked to accept the Statement regarding Data Processing for Marketing Purposes which allows Kaspersky to offer you additional benefits. If you choose to accept this statement, you can still revoke your acceptance in the application settings at any time.

View, accept or decline the Marketing Statement

If you haven't accepted the statement you see the attention mark on your menu bar. By clicking this icon, you open Statement regarding Data Processing for Marketing Purposes. Click Accept and confirm your decision in a pop-up window, if you want to provide data to improve application performance and receive additional beneficial offers.

There is another way to view, accept or decline the statement:

  1. Open the main application window.
  2. Click Application menu in the lower part of the main application window.
  3. In the opened menu, click Settings.

    The application settings open.

  4. Select the Advanced section and scroll settings down.
  5. In the Responsive to you and your needs section carefully read the Statement regarding Data Processing for Marketing Purposes.
  6. Do one of the following:
    • Click Accept, read the Statement regarding Data Processing for Marketing Purposes and confirm your decision in a pop-up window, if you want to provide data to improve application performance and receive additional beneficial offers.
    • Click Decline and confirm your decision in a pop-up window, if you no longer want to provide data to improve application performance and receive additional beneficial offers.

Your changes will be saved automatically.

Data provision for connecting to My Kaspersky

When you connect to My Kaspersky, you confirm that you have fully read, understand, and accept the terms of the Statement Regarding Data Processing for Purpose of Using Web-Portal (Web-Portal Statement). If you want to revoke your acceptance of the Web-Portal Statement, you need to sign out of My Kaspersky, uninstall the application, or disconnect your device from My Kaspersky.

View the Web-Portal Statement

  1. In the application icon context menu, select the About item.

    The About Kaspersky Password Manager window opens.

  2. At the bottom of the window, click the Statement Regarding Data Processing for Purpose of Using Web‑Portal link.

The Web-Portal Statement opens. You can read about data processed when you sign in to your My Kaspersky account.
