Checking your phone-linked accounts
To check your phone number for data leaks:
- Open the Kaspersky app > Identity > Identity Theft Check.
- Add a phone number either by manually entering it, or by selecting it from your device's Contacts.
Make sure that the number you add starts with a + and a country code, is from 6 to 20 digits long, and doesn't include symbols like * and #.
- Tap Check for leaks to run the first check.
Before running the first check, the app will prompt you to read the data processing statement. Accept it to use the feature.
After you add your numbers, the app will automatically and regularly check them and alert you in case of new leaks.
You will be able to view the detailed information about previous and new leaks by tapping a phone number in the list of phone numbers.
How to edit the name of a contact
To edit the name associated with a phone number in the list:
- Open the Kaspersky app > Identity > Identity Theft Check.
- Long tap the number for the contact whose name you want to edit.
You can also open the results of the check and tap the Edit button there.
- On the screen that opens, edit the name of the contact.
- Tap Done.
It's only possible to automatically check 50 numbers at a time. If you would like to check a number that has not been added yet, you can delete an old number and submit a new one for the check.
To delete a phone number from the list:
- Open the Kaspersky app > Identity > Identity Theft Check.
- Long tap or swipe left on the number you want to delete.
- Tap Delete.
Please note that all phone numbers you've added to the Kaspersky app will be deleted if you revoke your acceptance of the Identity Theft Check Statement.
