Configuring Inter-VRF Route Leaking

To view or edit the Inter-VRF Route Leaking for a BGP instance in a CPE template or on a CPE device:

  1. Go to the BGP section. To do this:
    • To view or edit Inter-VRF Route Leaking settings in a CPE template, go to the SD-WAN → CPE templates menu section, click the CPE template and in the sidebar of the select the settings area, select BGP.
    • To view or edit Inter-VRF Route Leaking settings on a CPE device, go to the SD-WAN → CPE menu section, click the CPE device and in the sidebar of the settings area, click BGP.
  2. Open an existing BGP instance by clicking Edit in its row of the table, or create a new BGP instance.
  3. In the settings area of the BGP instance, select the Route leaking tab.
  4. If necessary, mange the following Inter-VRF Route Leaking settings:
    • In the Route Distinguisher field, specify the Route Distinguisher (RD) attribute for the route leaking (a unique ID for distinguishing routes). It can be specified in one of the two formats:
      • Autonomous system number (from 0 to 4294967295) : ID (from 0 to 65535). Example: 100:65000.
      • IPv4 address : ID (from 0 to 65535) Example: 1.2.3.4:15.

      You can have the Route Distinguisher attribute automatically generated by selecting the Auto-generate check box (selected by default).

    • Under Route Target Export, click Add to add one or more Route Target (RT) values for exporting routes from the VRF of this BGP instance to other VRFs.
    • Under Route Target Import, click Add to add one or more Route Target (RT) values for importing routes to the VRF of this BGP instance from other VRFs.

      Individual Route Target entry values for Route Target Export and Route Target Import settings are specified in one of two formats:

      • Autonomous system number (from 0 to 4294967295) : ID (from 0 to 65535). Example: 100:3000.
      • IPv4 address : ID (from 0 to 65535) Example: 6.6.6.6:77.
    • Turn on the Export routes toggle switch if you need to export routes from the VRF of this BGP instance.
    • Turn on the Import routes toggle switch if you need to import routes into the VRF of this BGP instance.
    • In the Export route map and Import route map lists, select the created route maps for exported and imported routes.
  5. Click Save to save the changes, or Cancel to discard the changes.
