About user accounts

Open Single Management Platform allows you to manage user accounts and security groups. The application supports four types of accounts:

• Accounts of organization employees. Administration Server retrieves data of the accounts of those domain users when polling the organization's domain controller.
• Accounts of local users. Local accounts of managed devices, as well as the local accounts of the device on which Administration Server is installed.
• Accounts of internal users of Open Single Management Platform. You can create accounts of internal users. These accounts are used only within Open Single Management Platform.
• Service accounts. These accounts are only used to connect Kaspersky Next XDR Expert services to Administration Server. Service accounts are added automatically when the solution is deployed, and cannot be deleted or changed. The rights and roles of these accounts cannot be changed, either. You cannot use a service account to sign in to OSMP Console.

The kladmins group cannot be used to access OSMP Console in Open Single Management Platform. The kladmins group can only contain accounts that are used to start Open Single Management Platform services.

To view tables of user accounts and security groups:

1. In the main menu, go to Users & roles → Users & groups.
2. Select the Users or the Groups tab.

The table of users or security groups opens. If you want to view the table with only internal users or groups or with only local users or groups, set the Subtype filter criteria to Internal or Local respectively.
